What is the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF)?

The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2025 provides fixed-value grants to help farmers, horticulturalists, forestry owners, and contractors who deliver services to these groups invest in essential equipment.

The scheme supports purchases that improve productivity, enhance environmental sustainability, and promote better animal health and welfare. This includes cold storage for temperature-sensitive medicines and vaccines.

Who is eligible for FETF?

You may be eligible to apply if you are:

A farmer, horticulturalist, or forestry owner in England

A contractor providing services to these groups

Registered with the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) and hold a valid Single Business Identifier (SBI)

You must also be operating within an eligible sector such as livestock, dairy, poultry, or veterinary-related care.

FETF279CA: What qualifies?

To claim FETF funding for a vaccine fridge, it must meet all of the following criteria:

Be medical grade, designed for vaccines and medicines

Have a glass or solid door

Offer a minimum capacity of 50 litres

Include an external digital temperature control and display

Maintain a 2°C to 8°C temperature range

Be lockable for security

Feature audible and visual temperature alarms

Be made from materials that are easy to clean and disinfect

Include a serial number (required when claiming payment)
